Runway: how long your money lasts

A simple, honest proxy for how many months you can keep going at your current burn.

Runway answers a nomad's favorite question: how long can I keep this up?

How it is calculated

Nomad Bro uses a simple, cash-based proxy: your income so far this year (from paid invoices) minus your expenses so far this year, divided by this month's spending. It is a light estimate, not a real bank balance, and it says so on the card.

How to read it

Use runway as a directional signal, not gospel. City choice moves it more than any budgeting trick: a cheaper base stretches your runway further than trimming small expenses. If the number looks off, it usually means an unusual month of spending or income that has not been marked paid yet.

Frequently asked

Why is runway a proxy and not exact?
It is derived from your logged income and expenses, not a live connection to your bank, so it estimates rather than reads a real cash balance.
