Create and send an invoice
Pick a client, a currency, dates, and line items. Export a clean PDF to send.
Steps
- Open Invoices in the dashboard and choose New invoice.
- Select the client you are billing. If they do not exist yet, add them first under Clients.
- Choose the invoice currency. This is the currency your client pays in, which can differ from your base currency.
- Set the issue date and due date. The due date drives when an invoice counts as overdue.
- Add line items. Each line has a description, a quantity, and a unit amount. Totals calculate automatically.
- Optionally set a tax rate and add notes.
- Save. Nomad Bro assigns the next invoice number using your prefix (for example INV-0007).
Sending it
Open the saved invoice and export the PDF. The PDF includes your business details, the line items, the total in the invoice currency, and your payment details so the client knows how to pay you. Send that PDF to your client however you normally do.
Remember: Nomad Bro produces and tracks the invoice. Your client pays you directly through the method on the invoice.
Frequently asked
- How are invoice numbers generated?
- Each new invoice gets the next number in sequence using your invoice prefix, for example INV-0001, INV-0002. You can change the prefix in Settings.
- Can I edit an invoice after creating it?
- Yes. Open the invoice and edit it. Line items are replaced with whatever you save.
